If you are slightly paranoid about trading, I'd suggest making those mules through the vpn then trading the money between a few of them before selling it.

For example- trade from main, to mule, to another mule then sell. Just don't keep any money on the mules and I'd probably try and spread out your cash piles on legit accounts.

Last thing you would want is all your cash being in one place and being wiped/banned.

Also I'd probably rwt less on the account that got wiped, Jagex probably has its eye on the account seeing as they are taking this whole bot nuke/rwt thing pretty seriously this time.

Wow, I had not even heard of this happening. Hopefully my 3 phats left over from RWT'ing don't get wiped. Considering I play very rarely, I wouldn't really care.

 

Some suggestions...

- Make mule accounts using a VPN. To be even safer, make them on a different computer.

- Don't transfer GP from your main to the accounts, instead transfer items to the mule(s), then sell the item in GE for GP. Then buy something else with that gold and resell it. Use items like arrows, bars, fish, etc. so the gold initially transferred gets spread out across different players.

- Don't keep large amounts of gold on clean level 3's. They will eventually delete it over time.

 

There are quite a few threads like this in Price Checks / Market Discussion, actually. I find it both surprising and disheartening.

I believe it's safe to say that if you don't want to lose money you should take a little break from it until it dies down, think of it this way. When you decide to start back up GP will definitely be worth more.

 

Well if you have an account with the stats to wear torva/virtus/pernix you can stop them from wiping you by degrading the item to under 100% whereby the trade value is lower and the item is untradable. Jagex doesn't wipe these items. This can also be done with any degradable item. When you need to sell the gold, just repair the armour at Bob - it'll cost you around 50k-100k but that's well worth it considering you can save millions.
