I'll be suprised if they don't give this guy a temp ban for continuing to gamble after them trying to get it out of the game. His CC is full of scammers anyways.

 

They're not trying to get rid of gambling, just non Jagex sponsored gambling.

We have now removed some of the functionality of the magic skullball to the game. You are now only able to use the skullball for private readings and so it cant output the result to a chat channel anymore.

With the disabling of the Dice bag in Runescape on November 15, 2011, players started using the skullball to gamble. As a response, the next day the option to send the readings from skullballs to a friends chat was disabled, and can now only be shown to the player with the skullball in their inventory.

They aren't rare, unless you have them after the removal of dice. Which means you have to glitch when they are removing them.

Even though dicing and skullballs are gone, are there still tons of people who are finding ways to gamble, and people who are still seeking to play these games?

I haven't gone to W2 yet or any of the dicing worlds, but it seems like the dicing crowd who hang out at the GE on my home world are still hanging out there, whatever they are doing. Even if you remove dice/skullballs from the game, there are still all those people who want to gamble their money, and those who want to host and take the gamblers money. They haven't gone anywhere!

I guess I am just curious if the gambling hype has down down yet at all, and whether this update has actually had any impact on the gambling community? I am only asking since I haven't actually gone exploring yet to find out myself.

The dice bags are NOT going to be rare, since they will be removed from the game soon...
