I support not doxing as a general rule on Sythe. However, I like our stance of sharing pertinent information that could help prevent scams and also think people should suffer repercussions for their actions. In short, if a user has scammed, I think it is our responsibility to let users know and help them avoid preventable scams in the future.

So I'm not sure I support your suggestion as originally worded, but I absolutely support the sentiment. I think I would prefer a world where doxing is punished harshly but staff (and only staff) are allowed to post personal information of users who are known to have scammed (and all users are allowed to share this information strictly with staff). We could even restrict this further, requiring admin approval before personal information of users is shared to help prevent future scams.

As a side note, I also think @Wortel's post on page 1 is important. The type of information most users see as "dox-level" (names, emails, etc.) is almost always publicly available and left behind by the offending users themselves. I can't recall a time when staff has obtained personal information that wasn't publicly available and shared it publicly. Relatedly, I feel that anyone sharing this type of information should be punished harshly.
