    Wrong section locking.

Hello, I have seen an amount of threads in the wrong section, I report them, and sometimes instead of moving to the appropiate section, mods lock them.
Does it take more time to move them?
It appears to me that in most cases locking a thread is just not helpful to anyone, I would prefer to have a thread be left in the wrong section than locked.
Don't get me wrong I understand that it is not about what I prefer and I am not giving negative feedback in fact my reported posts are usually answered really fast, perhaps I should be posting in the suggestion section to make it so that all wrong section threads be moved rather than just locked.

    Regards.

I'm sure if you PM them about locking a specific thread they would unlock it and move it for you with a smile :)

    Hey :)

Yes technically locking a thread does save time compared to moving them, and sometimes moving them would be the better choice, its just preference really, moderators aren't bound to a specific way to how to handle such reports.

I believe that when there are a ton of spam reports to do, moderators should just lock such threads. However, when the spam section is clear, I feel like moderators should take the time to move a thread and inform a user via PM that his/her thread belongs in that section. This way, in the future, that user would post in the appropriate section.
