Just as the title says, this thread is about work. Do you work? If not, why? Where do you work? What do you do? How much do you make? Do you have any funny stories to tell?

To start, I work at a supermarket called Big Y. I'm a bagger, cashier, I work at self check and in the service desk. I make about $8.85 an hour but am due to have a raise within the next few weeks. There's really no funny stories to tell about my job. The only entertainment is watching customers get angry at a coworker.

 

I Don't work because im currently in full time education. I could try and get a weekend job but I think that I'd rather keep the weekend for leisure time.

 

Valid excuse. But what do you do for money on the leisure times?

 

I don't work either, but I do pimp girls on the playground for kisses/hugs.



I nearly started a pool cleaning business but then realised only 1 in a couple thousand have pools in England. I done one job though for my grandparents...

I dont work because I am 16 years old and in Belgium you are allowed to work at 18 year. But we are able to get a job in the vacations and I have done it for a little more than 15 euro/hour which is 19.3185 U.S. dollars.

 

If it counts, I volunteer at the hospital. I didn't apply for a job because I'm still in school and hopefully next year when i graduate, I can get a job to help pay for college.
I do RS Skilling and account selling/merching which acutally conveys cash.

Funny Story's, Hmm well I have had a 16yr girl call asking how to get the other screws out of their iPhone, because they already removed some, Explained by doing so they voided their warranty, The girl was upset/crying, that they paid $60 for a screen replacement kit off ebay, Explained it would be $199 for a out of warrenty repair, she then gave her Dad the phone, which then I re-explained, he replied "Ok, well you fucked up" to his daughter then hung up.

That's hilarious XD dude do you work at a genius bar at apple store? cause that's a fucking awesome Job and people there I ever so helpful I remember getting an iPhone replacement(brand new aswell!) after only 3 minutes of talking to one of those guys. AWESOME!

Refurbished iPhone 4??? yea, if you got the iPhone 4 replaced its a little soon for any refurbished ones to be shipped, its brand new Discounts? Eh quite a bit get like 20% off my monthly bill for like any Wireless Carrier, Uhm like 15% on all apple products, theres a huge list honestly too many to name especailly since I'm working now lol

 

Do i work? Yes. Where do i work? Oceaneering. What do you do? I'm a welding/defects inspector. How much do you make? Around the £45,000 a year. But can easily double that if theres good work. Any funny stories to tell? Sure, I lost an eye pissing about when i first started. I've been lowered over 200ft on a pulley and pretty much everynight something happens that is funny.

 

Too damn lazy to get a job, so no I don't work.

dude that's a interesting career you get quite alot for doing piss all really.

 

I work as a kitchen porter, which is kinda like a kitchen assistant in a restuarant.

I usually work around 20 - 30 hours a week, depending whether am I at uni or not. Recently 30 hours a week (summer).

Pay is £6 an hour, which is reasonable imo for a part time job.

 

I worked all summer at the barn I keep my horse at and I sometimes work for my mom helping her with vet stuff. I also have been helping these rich people move and that pays really well.

Currently a college student and i have a part time job as a doorhanger(hanging shit on peoples doors like flyers not actually hanging doors lol...)

 

I work at a 130 room hotel, mainly on 3rd shift. I have endless stories of drunk and crazy people.

Like the time our front desk guy took a fire extinguisher and broke $2300 worth of windows.
