When to vouch

I personally think vouching should only be allowed for trusting someone.

For example, I sell a pin to a random leecher and the leecher wants a vouch for going first to me.
I personally don't vouch in cases like this, but there are loads of ppl who vouch for this.
I completely disagree with these kind of vouches as they completely don't reflect anyones trustworthyness.
therefore I believe this kinda vouches should be against the sythe rules.

so vouches should only be allowed if your being trusted with something.

I vouch every time, I'm selling something or buying something from someone. I think that's fine. I don't really want this changed.

 

No support. Just look at their vouches if you desire to do so. Someone with 10 vouches of buying pins is obviously not as trustworthy as someone with 10 vouches of selling higher-end items.

 

Ban vouching for free things done please, to many people with free services to get "fake" easy vouches...

 

not completely true. those starting a new service sometimes hand out freebies to display trustworthiness.

 

Only time trust isn't invovled is when you're using a MM.

Other than that I think vouches are fine.

 

I disagree on that, I've done quite a few free jads, even still do them regularly. It's not just for trust. it's also for helping ppl.
and I've done free jads on for example hybr1d0wn5 or however you write it. he trusted me with his bank pin (1.2b+ bank)

 

true, but you don't gain any trustworthyness if you go first. all you show is you trust the person.

 

Still, I'd much rather trade with a Leecher who has a few vouches where he bought a pin and went first or something as compared to someone who has no trade history whatsoever.

In the end it just comes down to the quality of the vouches, not the nature of their having been obtained.

If you don't want to, then don't do it. Nobody said you're required to.

Your problem being?

What reflects trust worthiness then? Haven't you seen even the most trusted members stooping so low as to pulling off big scams with their prestige?

 

Vouches are meant to be given whenever a trade is completed well. Not only are they used for trust, they can be used as a record of the trade, etc.

If members are worried about a members vouches check through them. If they haven't handled much you can make the decision to trade, use a MiddleMan or not trade.
