What next?

k right now im in a really confusing and frustrating time in my life.. i only had 1 girlfriend my whole life and it sorta stresses me out when i think about it but usually it doesn't bug me that much but when i think about it, it makes my self confidence go down the drain.

whats really bothering me is that im a 18 year old (grade 13) about to drop out of highschool without a diploma and with no real job experience. ever since i started going to high school i had a hard time. Barely any friends and it didn't help that im a really shy guy... most of my high school life i was a loner and played rs as soon as i got home till i go to sleep. Playing runescape just led to me procrastinating alot and that being said putting me in the position that im in now. So this year i thought i would try get high school out of the way and it started with me telling myself il do whatever it takes for the next 2 semesters to finish this but i failed. I got a letter last week for my attendence and i got a meeting tomorrow with the principle to discuss whether or not im staying the semester.

As of now i barely play runescape at all. I just started playing again today for maybe 1-2 hours (most i have played in months) so i dont think the computer is the problem anymore.. i just sit around the house now for most of the day and watch tv/ play game and basically just slack off. On the weekends i go out with friends sometimes and go to parties but thats just on the weekends i dont really hang with them during the weekdays.

anyways idk what to do now. Im at the point in my life where i gotta do something and i know that but what? i honestly don't think i can finish school because my work ethics are horrible and procrastinating gets the best of me everytime. So if not school should i just get a dead end job? i know not having a high school diploma is gonna fuck up my future and that's what im mainly stressing about.

Mate. If you try hard, and put in the work, you'll find that you can achieve more than you think. Slacking off isn't an option..Go out and look for a job, part-time or full-time.

And at nights, have a look on the net for degrees that you can do as correspondence.

It's up to you to put the effort in.

 

Regarding your feelings about only having dated one girl in your life, don't worry about it to much. You're only 18 and woman don't have to be the focus of your life. In a few more years when you've organised things with school and other life issues then you can go out more and just hang with girls, one will hit you eventually.

 

In a lot of ways I am just like you. Similarly, I would suggest a study group (becoming a little more socially active during the week plus helping your grades.)
Also, as much as other people in highschool might disagree, girls and relationships really shouldn't be your primary focus, especially in a situation like yours.

Also, regarding that meeting, how'd it go?

 

I am also like u but I have some good marks at high school (10th grade).

 

I suggest if you REALLY just want highschool out of the way that you should consider a co-op school (I think they're called that). They give you booklets that you can do in one week. The only problem about this is that the credits you get are applied (college) credits. By doing this, you can at least finish your highschool and obtain your diploma. As for the girls, don't sweat it. Most guys my age have had like 10+ girls. At the moment, I've had 3, maybe 4 soon. Girls don't do anything but hold you back, most of the time. So don't sweat it, you can focus on women once you've got your life settled down.
