what is PID?

I have no idea what this pid thing is about all i know is that its something to do with dueling?

 

Player Identification. A staking duel can't be turned into a draw so one player has to hit first when its about the last hit. The player with the lowest PID gets the hit. PID is determined totally random

 

Does that mean the person with the highest pid will always win?

 

No it just means they'll get first hit but since jagex updated it your PID is constantly changing meaning you may have pid one hit but not the next.

 

So during a stake you could hit twice in a row without the other person hitting?

 

Yes if they get first hit then you get second hit then the pid switches to you getting first hit on the next turn of attack.

Say you're on a winning streak, and you lose a stake, can you just start funning until your pid goes back up again

 

Pre-Eoc, when you could do the showfps command after bringing up the in game console, couldn't you check if you were at a good pid number to go into a stake so that you would most likely get first hit?

 

No you can't, Jagex updated it so your pid changes every game tick( 0.6 seconds). So it is random who will get first hit. You can not 'boost' or improve pid at all.

 

No, displayfps only showed infomation about your client like how many fames you are running and what your ping (delay between the server and the client not to be mistaken with PID) is.

 

That sucks man but i guess you could get lucky
