Website Layout, CnC?

Got bored, CnC?

Meant to be simplistic with a metallic, glowing touch.

 

Everything is so big, I feel like Im going to get eaten.

 

That's probably because it's inside another webpage. You get that with websites inside websites. Anyway it would look normal in a web browser as a standalone page.

 

Can't really say much for it but I don't like the grey "drop shadow" you have over most of it. If you had of put content into it, i would be able to cnc more, you don't have to use actual text generate some: http://www.lipsum.com

TBH I think that orb is useless and huge, you don't need such a big orb to hold a little 'K' esspecially when it comes to coding time, that drags down loading time.

also noticed at the top right of the orb holder, some smudging that doesn't look like it's meant to be there ;p

 

i find it way to bright it gives me a headach

 

Bevel = no go

Bevels are generally fail in most cases.

 

Screams "ehh...."

 

Crash and burn. Ouch... I didn't think it was THAT bad. And where's this drop shadow TDD? There's a gradient.. an orb.. and some bevel. Not once did I drop shadow.

 

Hey. I'm new to the GFX forum, but I've been doing web and graphic design for about.. five years.

It's good for one of your first couple layouts (I'm guessing at this), but here's some things I'd like to note about it:

- The banner is WAY too big. It'll look messy on the site.
- The text on the links is too big, reduce it and center it horizontally AND vertically.
- The actual navigation bar looks... weird.
- The content box's.. drop shadow? bevel? needs to be removed.

Other than that.. it's a nice idea! You can PM me/add me on MSN if you'd like some help.

i like the gray drop shadow. nice layout

 

Why does everybody keep saying there's drop shadow? I never used drop shadow on this layout! I used a PILLOW EMBOSS. If you don't know what it is look at it in PS. Hopefully you do though.
