***WEB DESIGN CONTEST*** enter!

I've noticed alot of you guys seem to be getting into web designs, so I thought we could all have a little competition, much like sig of the week, but not as well.

How it will work is as follows:
-The theme is "Photographer's portfolio".
-You have two weeks to give your submission.
-The size of the design should be 1024x768 pixels, as this is the most common resolution.
-All the work must be your own, and proof of creation will be asked for. (Best way is to take about 5 or so screenshots as you are making it so i can see how it came along.)
-The design need not be coded, simply designed in photoshop.
-Anyone can enter, I won't be of course, cause i'm a judge.
-Content is not needed, simple use www.lipsum.com to generate your content.
-it must be obvious that it is a portfolio, if you need it, youcan use photography pictures as thumbnails, or whatever you need.
-The site's name is "Genius Photography" and the slogan is "The next generation of photography is here"

There will not be a voting thread, the winner will be decided by myself, and SMI.

The prize will be a section of the "SOTW Winners" thread being dedicated to this with your name, your design. And, 1mill gp.

So the title of the site has to be that? and for the thumbnails can i get useless black and white google pics for those or leavem blank

I probably will still be beaten by either Jansen or SMI. Might as well give it a shot.

And just to clear up on what the theme, colors etc. is,

We can use any colors.?
Name and Slogan must be presented saying (as you said on post #1)?
It is layed out as if a photographer made it for him/her self to present there work.?
Can I use multiple pages or is it just the home page, or is it just a one page portfolio (wierd...)?

SMI doesn't do web designs as far as I know. any colors, as long as it stays true to the theme of being a photographer's portfolio. IE: It is there for him to present his work, etc. Name must be present, slogan is optional, just put it there in case anyone wanted one. Multiple pages are allowed, as long as each page is 1024x768.

 

Oh, ok. I think i might have a good chance seeing as not many people do Web Designs .

Do you have to post multiple pictures of different parts of the layout? (like you do in other threads) or is one enough?

 

you can do one-page, or multi-page, up to you (multi would be better judging-wise tbh)

 

Can you tell us what things we need to put on for the navigation bar thingy?
Like 'Home' 'Contact' 'Portfolio' etc?

 

home, contact, about, portfolio would be the obvious choices, and whatever else you want to add.
