Hello sythe users, im supermonkey =D and i just recently registered here look at postcount for confirmations

Anyways I'v got a few things to ask all you folks out their
ok first off my main goal is to sell some rsgp as the free trade is about to come back and I have some what of alot of rsgp if that makes sense

So here are the questionsssss
Ok so I never used or had paypal before, however i have jsut created it for this purpose, this means I am very "noob" at this. So any information on paypal would help me wonders, general information nothing specific unless you fell it would help me in my rsgp seling

Since i have been look around, I see that there are scammers so, what types of scams are there, why do some people only take certain paypals, what ytpes of paypals are there? What other scams are there other than paypal

Uhm last one would be how does jagex not know about this, I mean could they not just pretend to be buyer and ban everyone on it? I mean i would like to make a few bucks but not if its gonna risk my account what i like playing on so much

Got a credit card? bank account any of those?

Next, dont take creditcard funded payments on paypal. Always use the "gift" paypal auction.

Avoid dealing with newer players and try to make a reputation by selling small amounts OR sell to mods/OMMS.

Jagex are not allowed to be in Sythe. they will have legal issues if ever trying to get into Sythe. Plus dont post your RS username in Sythe ever. Use msn.

 

I don't have either can i still buy stuff say off of ebay or other plays with the money i recieve
I'm not sure but is ebay similar to a middle man, so can you like put money into paypal form your bank account and you would get paypal dollars which you can spend?

 

There are several very decent paypal tutorials over in the User Education section, I suggest you take a look! All you need to do, in a nut shell, is create an account and connect it to a bank account or to a credit/debit card. I don't remember exactly how to do that anymore since it's been so long... from what I remember, you put in your bank router number, they'll send you three increments of money (ranging from 5-15 cents each) and you verify your account by confirming the amounts they sent you. Without getting verified, you won't be able to send or receive money without restrictions. I'm not going into detail there because I'm not sure if you can only send some, or can send none at all...

Anyhoo it's a great tool, get familiar with it because it'll make transactions much smoother.

You want to look out for fake MSN addresses. A prominent scam is where someone impersonates a trusted member with a similar looking MSN account. Always have the person you're talking to on MSN PM you with the account that they claim they own on Sythe.org. Secondly, be careful about paypal charge backs. I don't know how to prevent these, you'll just have to look around User Education for a guide. I know there's one, I remember seeing it. Lastly, people will make you go first because you're new. This means that they expect you to send the RSGP to them BEFORE they send you the paypal money. You can't really get around this unless you want to use an official middleman. They act like escrows, where they take both sides of the trade, and they give it over to each traders at the same time.

Jagex doesn't get into this site because 1) it's illegal since sythe put it in the terms of service that "anyone employed under Jagex may not register" etc and so forth... and 2) they really don't care enough to spend money on suing individual gold sellers... it just waists their time and money.

 

Ok so i have a few and i think i get paypal a bit, but i still ahve a few questons
my limit owuld be $3000 a month with 500 withdrawl, would i still be able to use the money on paypal without it be verified like for ebay and sutff

 

You used to be able to, I don't think they changed it because I Was unverified for a while when i used the Greendot.

and always pay for an official middleman that YOU add
learn to check peoples emails as alot of people try and impost other sythe accounts.
be carefull alot of scammers here, but other then that its a boss community.
