    VMs permanently Harm Computer?

I forget where I heard this but somebody mentioned the VMs permanently make your computer slower? Is that true? If it isn't permanent, then how do I get rid of VMs that I 'removed' (using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007)? Removing took me 3 seconds but installing took me a few hours...

Reinstall? I don't have the install disks, I bought this Acer computer preloaded with Vista Home Premium. My dad has HP and he created recovery disks, and when it crashed he used them and it reinstalled the OS. But does Acer let you make recovery disks? If so how do you do it? Oh and can you use those disks to reinstall, not just recover?

...My computer lagged very badly and it made all those posts, I only clicked post twice cause I thought I misclicked the first time. If a mod/admin sees this can you delete all except one?

EDIT: ok...I swear that there were about 7 that I accidently made, now I only see 2 10 seconds later, did a mod do that, am I hallucinating, is my computer doing something wrong, or did the forum automatically delete it?

VMs are not always the source of this. It all really depends on 2 things.
    1. what you do with the VM
Ex. Certain things you all know you can do with VMs that might not be safe.
    2. what VM it is.
Certain VMs are plagued with mal-ware and not always detectable.
