VM Workstation

Does anyone know how to copy from main desktop and paste text in a VMWorkstation 11?

Copy as in...

taking your files from your main computer and moving it to your VM computer,

copying a text from main computer (www.google.com) and pasting it in VM,


As of right now, I have to manually type in the text or upload files to dropbox and move it to VMware.. its really pain

 

There isn't a way for it to be done. Because VMWare runs another operating system virtually within your current one. When the mouse enters the VM computer, it switches to that computer's memory you've allocated. Therefore you are also using its keyboard's clipboard an paste functions... Sorry for the bad news but you're gonna need to keep manually entering it until VMware progresses its operations.

 

This is wrong. You have to enable clipboard synchronization.

I'm using VM Workstation 11 and under Guest Isolation, I have both "enable drag and drop", "enable copy and paste" checked.
