I am looking to get around 60-100 fps at the highest settings. What video card should I get? Also, how do I check if it's compatible with my motherboard?
What game? What is your price limit? What is your computer? Is it homebuilt?( I am assuming not from your last question) On top of just the new video card you will most likely need a new PSU to support the extra power consumed by a video card.
In order from best to worst, all of these cards are a great option. Results from bf3 max settings at 1920x1080 resolution btw 1. asus 7970 platinum will get 80 fps $500 but will be hard to find (when overclocked) 2. nvidia gtx 680 will get 75-80 fps $500 3. nvidia gtx 670 will get 70 fps $400 4. nvidia gtx 660 ti will get 60 fps $300

Here's the inside of my computer, is this the slot you are talking about? I own the computer since april 2011. I don't know the model but I guess it's new enough to be a PCIE 2.0 slot.
Yes, that is the correct slot. However, now you need to measure from the edge of the ram slot, to the other side of the case, like this- If the distance is over 8.25 inches you are fine, and the video card will fit.
