I do NOT support that. I support that the system needs to change.

 

You should only let those who know what they're doing verify guides, which doesn't necessarily include all frequent posters. Perhaps there could be a few qualified non-staff who have permissions to verify. I'd sure that would ease the situation.

But a huge no to allowing any guru verification powers; corruption would be ubiquitously present.

Thanks. I'm going to remove my idea because I slept on it and it doesn't seem right to me anymore. I just think that the process needs to be modified.

 

The problem with guide verification is that many mods verify these guides that claim things like "10M+ / hr RWT Method", when they really SHOULDN'T be verifying them. Mods verify guides on the basis that they are technically possible, instead of on the basis that they are consistently possible.

For example, there was a guide verified that claimed 25M / hr by buying Glories for minimum and reselling at mid to the Supplier, and repeating. This is TECHNICALLY true, you could xfer at 25M / hr like this, BUT IT WOULD NEVER WORK!! You're not gonna be able to buy/sell anywhere near enough glories to do this on the GE due to Jagex's secret limits.

So, in conclusion, I feel that guide verification from mods causes more harm than good. All guides should be on level playing field, and should only be reviewed by REAL buyers. People who have spent their own money on a guide are the ones that you should be looking to for guidance on whether or not a guide is worth buying.

The guides that got verify in the past are horrible.

 

Really agree with this i got scam over 30 dollars on "verify guides" that are ridiculous.

If you tell this guide to anyone they will laugh that someone verify this

I agree, R2. The problem is that it's way too ambitious for me to expect the whole verficiation system to be abandoned. The more modest goal is just general change.

I support a change in the verification process, but I disagree that guru's be allowed to verify.
r2 has some good points on the possibility vs. the feasability.

My personal opinion is that guides should'nt be sold here at all, but that's just my opinion.

 

Mhmhm, but then rwt methods would die out quite quickly.(No incentive to figure them out)

 

Should really be fixed
