Vegetarians? Why?

Everything needs energy to survive, meats contain some of the proper nutrients needed.

 

Yes but the actual system in the human body is not designed to intake meat.

 

The fact is that Man has come to a state in which we are so well off that we can choose whether we want to eat meat or not. It is indeed natural for humans to eat meat. I have no respect for vegetarians, as they do not eat meat but do so much else that is so bad for the environment and animals. If you are going to become a vegetarian to stop the suffering of the environment and animals, go out into the forest and survive off the land... but wait, then you would be forced to hunt and forage, WHICH IS NATURAL DUMB SHIT.

 

I was reading an article about diets and early man, it said that human genetics/genes had changed 0.01% after 50,000 years, it also stated due to this, back then we had to hunt to meat and other foods, it's the same now, we need protein, fat and carbohydrates.

 

Well said, the only reason vegetarians are so is because they are able to. They still have to take protein pills and other supplements for what there diet is missing.

I think lost of vegetarians just refrain from meat because they like to put on airs. My best friend, for instance, says, "Oh, I'm a vegetarian, but I eat chicken sometimes." That doesn't make you a vegetarian, that makes you what I like to call a liar.

But for some it really is an emotional decision because of attachment to animals. As for me, bears would eat us without thinking twice if we tasted as good as a well-cooked chicken..

No we don't. I'm 6"2 and healthy, and I've been vegetarian since I was 5.

 

i eat meat and hunt and stuff man doesent need meat to survive but it is a good thing to have for protein and stuff

 

Have you ever seen how some animals are treated? Take chickens for example, They live in a building, inches from each other, and they get tossed around by humans like rocks. I saw a How Its Made episode on it.

I ain't vegetarian, don't care how they treat animals and get meat, just it should be good and tasty.

How can you vegetarians eat a vegetable, knowing it has been killed purely for your consumation, yet complain at us for eating meat which has been through the same ordeal?

 

Vegetables and animals are fundamentally different creatures, the ordeal a lettuce goes through is quite different from the ordeal a chicken goes through.

 

You really think that's bad? Do you know how calf and sheep are butchered by halal-butchers? They get hung up in metallic hooks and literally bleed to death.

You know, I'm all for treating animals in a humane manner, afterall, we're just breeding them for our own personal meat grinder (mouth & digestive system), but when it comes to giving them equal rights as the terrorist organization named PETA preaches, I feel like yanking my meat-fork down their throats. Evolution designed the stronger animals to eat the weaker animals, even if you're a Creationist, you must admit your version of God intended animals to eat one another. Humans too are animals, mind you.
