Vegetarians? Why?

I come from an Armenian family so yes I do eat meat but thats just are nature look up are foods on Google and see how mostly 90% of Armenians eat meat. But I try to be both and times.

 

I eat meat, basically for these reasons;
.Protien and other nutrients
.More variety of foods
I can understand if your a buddhist why you would want to become a vegetarian (Ahimsa) but in the bible it doesn't say we should or shouldn't eat meat. So overall unless your religion demands it, you have your choice in weather to eat meat. Anyway the animal is already dead after you buy the food

 

ALOT of dieseases these days are linked to people's diets. Since alot of animals are sick these days, people just kind of stopped eating them.

 

I agree with and anyway God created animals to help us to live
there is a difference between eating them and treating them badly
There are ppl who are beating animals and hurting it and this wat I hate . Cuz they feel like us so we shouldn't treat them badly and make them suffer . But we can eat them cuz this why they r there . Horses are there to be riden and if u treat ur horse good it will be happy when u ride it ( so it's not suffering )
So eating animals isn't bad they are here for that but killing them for no reason or beating them just because u want that is really bad

No but in a serial killers mind your nothing more then there next victim and the serial killer could care less what your feeling. What retribution would that be? Also most serial killers don't view you as a rational being or irrational but as a person they can get off on because thats how sick they are.

You applying that fact of rationality to an animal could be overturned in asking why would it matter? I say don't base it on if there rational or not but base it on the fact of what your going to do for this world and if its substantial to my needs or if it will affect me. Cause thats what you apply to an animal that its nothing more then a stake...well your nothing more the a face right? stripped of feelings (you said who cares about their feelings) and whether your rational or not is irrelevant to whether or not we should kill you.

BUUT. I don't think its wrong to kill certain animals such as cows and chicken if you do it ethically. Like not dragging them across the ground to the slotter house, or feeding them other dead ones.

Yeah I agree on the topic that when they are treating animals with such cruelty its wrong. But I see nothing wrong with eating them without them being treated like that. The fact is most of the vegetarians I know stopped eating meat because of the way they treat the animals, not because they thought it was wrong. But after awhile of the lifestyle they stick to it because it does increase health in some little ways.

 

We don't need meat to survive.

QFT, Animals have no rationality therefore qualifying in the lesser being's catergory giving us the right to eat/treat them in anyway we please.

I don't honestly care about vegetarians, it's their own choice. Eat whatever they want, why does that matter? Why should we care what they eat?
But on topic, I agree with those vegetarians that killing animals and eating them would be wrong. It's like eating your pet dog or cat. We care for our pets, don't we? Vegetarians care for animals.

I have no clue if this post sounds logical at all, I'm tired as hell, whatever.

They're pretty much fighting for a lost cause, they won't change anything by not eating meat. All they're doing is limiting themselves for no good reason.

 

I am vegan (no meat, fish, dairy, or eggs) because of health reasons; it has nothing to do with animal rights (although I'm against cruelty to animals).
