My mom's tank busted so I ended up just picking her up a CE 4 clearomizer and a kanger mini-protank 2. If she decides to not use it I'll just take hers and start using it. haha.

 

I've got the Kanger mini pro tank 2, it's good! Much better than the other kanger clearomizer's I used before.

 

I like my protank 2 way better then the mini. I think it's more durable too.

 

my first rda dual coil come out to .65 ohms, I took two hits, huge clouds and I got real lightheaded... I think im gonna have to switch to 0mg nicotine LOL 6mg was strong as hell

 

I bought the v2 clone from vividsmoke.com, they shipped on the first business day, it looks very nice, good quality clone

 

Got my Kmax today, Will post pics of it when i get home later. To bad my batteries and the sick matching tanks still are not here.

 

Heres some pics of my setup now, it took alot of kanthal wire to figure out what was wrong turns out my coils weren't getting enough liquid because its .6 ohm build, I wrapped some cotton wick over it and now its spitting clouds

 

Looks sweet. Mech mods scare me though.

 

I'm looking to buy an inexpensive hookah pen, but I wasn't really aware there was such huge technicalities to this (I mostly used friend's pens before, not particularly into this).

I'm mostly looking to do it for fun, nothing overly extravagant or anything.

Does anybody have any recommendations? I just like the way they taste and I'm looking to buy one around $30-50 although maybe up to $100 depending, nothing too expensive.

It would be great if somebody could help me out with a link or some advice on what I should get

Edit: Oh, and I would also preferably like it to fit in my pocket.

While I am no expert, I don't recommend anything claiming to be a 'hookah pen' or those disposable pieces of shit. Vapes can be a large initial investment, but you save money in the long run. I recommend getting a cheap ego kit.

It is variable voltage and 510 threaded which means you can get a ton of different atomizers/clearomizers and accessories for them. I hadn't picked one up yet because of the long shipping times for China, but if you want to wait that is a good kit for the price. You can go on ebay (if you're North American) and get a similar kit for more money and get it quicker. You could also find a local vape shop and they can hook you up with a starter kit. If you like it from there you can upgrade almost infinitely.

Juices are cool and they're tons of varieties and brands. I recommend only sticking with those that you see discussed on Electronic Cigarette Forum and have plenty of feedback because these things, at least in the US, aren't regulated yet and you can find people who just don't know how to do it. They're also super easy to make for yourself and more cost effective than buying them.

 

I don't know, everyone just calls it a pen where I live, regardless of whether it's cheap or expensive. I always assumed a vape was for weed, but then again, I've only used a magic flight box before.

I know the difference between using one of the cheap shit ones and the really good ones, I'm just not entirely sure on what things are supposed to be called or anything technical about it. I didn't even know there was a whole science behind it until I started reading Nano's posts

Ah, well hookah pens here are cheap disposable things that last like 200 puffs or something and you can buy them at like every gas station now.

 

Variable voltage is where you should start, everyone I've known has upgraded from normal nothing, to voltage, to watt/voltage, and then mechanical. It's a waste of money because once you start you will end up liking it and notice everyone elses smoke is 10x yours and then you upgrade a bit, then others have even more smoke, then another upgrade. If you really want one get the one I linked Nero. It's a good starter and solid piece I have a friend who has it and absolutely loves it. Ebay will be faster, or just find a US vendor. Also advise a mini protank 2 with it.

 

What should I get if I wanted something better than a "starter"? By this, I mean something that would last for a good, long while without having the need to feel I should eventually "upgrade"? Would the one you recommended to Nero above work out that way?

I'm just looking mostly for smoke tricks and just for flavour, I've vaped before but I've just never bought my own pen is all.

Also, aside from the mini protank 2, would I need anything else? I'm a bit confused with all the parts that are necessary, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything

You will need a battery, ego twist and vision spinners have kits that you can buy. dont forget the charger and extra atomizer heads. The need/ eventual want for upgrade in inevitable. I am getting alot better flavor with this rebuildable, but it is definitely not for beginners. for more information look up rebuidable atomizers and mechanical mods.

The ego twist and vision spinner are inexpensive variable voltage mods. This means you can adjust the "heat" to suit the liquid and your taste.

 

This actually cleared up a lot of confusion for me...

I was reading through this thread and there were things like "RBAs" and a bunch of other abbreviations, but I didn't know what it meant.

So apparently, a beginner-friendly type of pen would be like what Ox/Nero suggested since it's already pre-built and doesn't require any effort, while a more "pro"-type of pen would be a rebuildable. I'm looking for pretty much what they suggested, but just a little bit smaller so it would fit into my pocket. That's a pretty big issue for me

I was ridiculously confused when people were asking about batteries/coils and stuff, I had no clue what was going on with that >_<

The itaste vv along w/ a protank would be a very decent starting kit. You'd be fine starting off with that.

 

I don't vape, I'd try it for sure if I had a pen maybe I should order one.

 

I got my bottom ring stuck on my magneto, anyone know how to get it loose? I tried hot water and using kitchen gloves but no use..

NVM, I put it in the freezer and I was able to unlock it using rubber gloves after an hour, HOT water did NOT work
