    If someone doesn't feel strongly enough about an issue to voluntarily voice their opinion, they're probably not going to contribute any meaningful response when forced to post. By requiring a response, you'd probably just wind up with a handful of "I voted yes"s (or whatever effortless equivalent they think can get by without an infraction).

    (Out of curiosity - did you ask people to reply? Because there's more useless "I agree" spam in this thread than usual.)

    People are agreeing because it is a good idea. This would be beneficial in the SFA. If someone posts spam and just says 'I voted yes' then they will be infracted accordingly.
