    We are opening the server to the public for a beta testing / development phase.

    We encourage anyone to download our client, log in, and start playing.

    You do not need to register on the forums to play.

    About Valhalla:

    Our server is a 317-based server that loads 474 content, with some of our own custom twists on things. The client has resizable and fullscreen modes:

    Music by area and sound effects working, but the music tab interface is a work in progress.
    full 474 items, npcs, objects, and most mapdata supplemented to the 317 cache.
    Extensive npc, object, and item definitions server-side allow for fluid animations and combat.
    Extensive drop configurations - 90% of npc drops are rs-like.


    Gameplay:



    The gameplay in Valhalla resembles "Deadman mode", with heavy modifications. For starters you do not lose experience when killed either skulled or un-skulled. If a skulled player is killed by another player, the killer will receive the 6 most valuable item's in the skulled players bank. We have plans for a custom clan system, server-wide city sieges, and much more. We strive for our server to be a grand mix of a great PVP environment while not so much making it the sole factor of the server. Our players love to skill, and so do us! that's why we're listening to all forum feedback as quickly as we can see it!

    PVP:

    - The world is wilderness by default, except for a few safezones (major cities, faction areas)
    - Killing a skulled player immediately transfers the 6 most valuable items from their bank to your inventory.
    - Attacking a skulled player does not skull the attacker.
    - Being killed without a skull is a regular death.
    - Entering a guarded area (safe zone) while skulled may alert the guards.

    - Vastly reworking combat system - formulas, timings, and aesthetics.

    Factions /Guilds:

    - Factions and Guilds are listed in the Quest tab.
    - Click the name to show your current task, reputation, and information.
    - Linear progression of quests through each city and guild faction, unlocking certain benefits at their own intervals.
    - City portal network: Gain access to city portal when you complete a faction's quest line
    - Portals can be used to teleport between other portals that you have unlocked.

    - Much more content is planned and suggestions/feedback are welcome. Not much is final as of now.

    Skills:

    - The goal is to get all skills to at least 90% functionality. We are probably 60% of the way there.
    - Fishing, Cooking, Woodcutting, Crafting, RuneCrafting, Firemaking, Mining, and Smithing are very far along and are (nearly) complete.
    - Recent overhauls include Thieving, Agility, and Farming - all of which need some more love.
    - Herblore works for the most part, report any issues if you find them.
    - Slayer is trained through our very own Duradel! He can be found wondering the lumbridge graveyard.


    We are still working on polishing up many things, but after 6 months of development, the foundation for something awesome is in place. As a 2 man team, we try our best with our time to push out meaningful updates and bug fixes as quickly and diligently as possible.
