Hello fellow Sythe users, I am on a different computer than I usually am and I have had problems with rs. Heres What it says: Error_game_js5connect - Unable to connect to update server. Runescape was unable to connect to the update server. This is most likely caused by a firewall blocking the connection. To resolve this: If you have firewall or security software installed please ensure RuneScape/Java is allowed to open outgoing network connections on ports 43594. Note Windows XP Service Pack 2 has built in firewall software. If when loading RuneScape this asks if you want to allow the connection, you need to say 'yes'. If that doesn't help then an external firewall may be causing the problem. Please ask your network adminstrator/ISP to open port 43594 for TCP traffic. If problems persist then please refer to our technical FAQ which can be found in the FAQ section of our website. Yea so please help, much appreciated.. =)
first check what firewall you have. If it has service pack 2 firewall on disable it, you can check it by going control panel, then hm..i got it in finnish some thing like protection center (a shield with red,blue,yellow and green) there windows firewall and choose dont use.
try deleting ur UID in the following areas: C:\windows\.jagex_cache32 C:\windows\.jagex_cache34 C:\windows\.file_store32 if u dont have all those folders dont worry, just delete the folders you have. then try loading runescape again. if that doesent work: play unsigned.
