Does shaving make your hair grow back faster?

I've heard that shaving makes hair grow back faster? Is that true, or just a myth? About 12 days ago I shaved my mustache for the very first time and I can already see it growing back again...is this because of shaving or because of something entirely different?

also--I hate shaving with a PASSION.

it doesn't make it grow back faster, however sometimes your hair will grow back a little bit thicker or darker than before. i once shaved some of my arm hair off by accident (dont ask lol) and now that patched i shaved is slightly darker and a little bit thicker than the hair around it.

ive also heard shaving your eyebrows will cause them to grow back thicker. no idea if that is true tho

I am going to have to disagree i would say shaving does it make it come back thicker and darker i shave my legs all the time and it comes back in thicker and darker whenever i go to reshave. it may not grow faster but comes in darker and thicker i would say.

 

I'm assuming you're enquiring about facial hair and such, it doesn't necessarily grow back faster, but it can grow back in more volume the more you shave it. For example, the quicker you start shaving after you get facial hair, the quicker you're likely to have a full beard.
