    Trouble with motivation?

    Hey guys,

So I'm thinking of losing some weight and getting buffed. (16 years old in 4 months.)
The problem is that I have no motivation at all.
I used to work out at home with my own gym almost everyday after school, but when it was time for holiday for some reason I just stopped working out.

Now, this isn't the first time it has happend. I sometimes eat healty and run everyday for almost 2 weeks but then I just quit.

This is very annoying, and I was wondering what can I do to increase my motivation? I really want to go to the gym and get buffed but at the same time I'm thinking: Ah, It's worthless. Don't go to the gym you'll only be there for 1 month then quit. You'll never lose weight... bla bla bla.

    Help please. :(

You need to set small goals with rewards to keep you motivated initially. Once you start seeing progress it'll become alot easier to stay motivated.

If this doesn't motivate you, then I don't know what will.

Look at your body. If its not where you want it to be that should be motivation enough.

Well, as nytrix said set goals and once you see improvements with your body you'll be happy & motivated to carry on with your gym but I have the same problem I'm only 16 and I stopped GYM been since 10th July I'll be back in the GYM after 'Ramadan' and will start to motivate my self again to carry on to get the goals I've aimed for since I started GYM working out.

I find the more and more you do something the easier it becomes. It might take a lot of mental discipline at first but after you start seeing results and getting used to the intensity of working out you'll not only feel a sense of accomplishment but you'll find it much easier to continue working out.

So suck it up at the beginning and you'll thank yourself later.

Almost the exact same age as you, same situation. I've always been very results oriented person, so pictures and stats are really beneficial to me. Tracking my lifts, days of eating healthy and total miles I've run works wonders for keeping me on track.
