Topic Ban

Hello Sythe, I'm here to suggest banning the making threads such as "Sythe Merch Clan", "Sythe's Official Merch Clan", and "Starting A Merch Clan".

We have had several of these threads posted time and time again in the Runescape General section and they all turn out to be failures for a few different reasons.

Either the people leading them have no clue what they're doing so it just falls apart. Or it's a little scam attempt to help them make some money easily then they drop the project fucking Sythe members out of money.

Here are just a few threads looking at the first page of searches that came up after searching "Merch Clan".

Just a thought to consider banning these types of threads.

 

Honestly I think it's not popular enough to be a section on the forums. 2 of your links where made by the same person, one link was from someone banned, and one from someone who closed the thread.

 

I support. None of these will ever get off the ground, and for obvious reasons.

 

I don't particularly like these threads either.

However, if someone wants to participate in a merchanting clan, then they should acknowledge the money it could cost them. It's not like many of them are unaware as to what the purpose of a merch clan is. It's a substantial risk, if they want to go out on a limb and try it out that's their issue.

Banning these threads might not be the most appropriate action.

 

Proving my point that they all fail eventually. One of the threads was closed the day it was created because the OP realized it was a bad idea.

 

If we just continue to discourage them, it doesn't really matter.

As far as I know they've never even gotten off the ground.

 

I think that they will end up just dieing out. But thats me .

 

There shouldn't be a ban on a topic just because it doesn't work. Someday you might have a person come along that really can/will get a Sythe Merch Clan running and off the ground.

 

Somebody rich can get it off the ground.

Once i move from my pin selling onto my gold selling i'd give it a try myself >_<

All clans that have been tried here have been failures. I believe BMTH started one awhile ago, but it never worked. jCash tried making a Sythe CC; it never worked.

Although these threads never end up working, they shouldn't be banned from here.
