Recently i have been getting threats, which go along the lines of "watch your back", "i'm going to beat him up" "im going to find him and teach him a lesson" i know where you live, i have your phone number and where you work ect ect.

Would it be wise to contact the police he has threatened me before but he never did anything. I do have a lot of bigger friends and ones that are willing to stick up for me but should i just drop this completely and take the threats as a joke or contact the police

Did you offend him badly? If he has a strong reason to make you believe he will actually do what he says then you better go to the police.

If you go to the police but he means it as a joke you could make things worse.

still, i think the best thing to do is go to the police.

Let the police know. Always get them in the know of stuff like this, threats are taken quite seriously.

The situation is i have been talking to his girlfriend as a friend, which she obviously approves of. The thing is he is super super clingy and has issues with anxiety and is from the army so he resorts to violent threats!

Tell your friend (girl) to talk to her boy friend and tell him to stop being a bitch.

They're most likely threats he won't follow through with. If he doesn't stop with the threats get your bigger friends to take care of it. If he starts following through on the threats definitely go to the police.

I'll tell you a funny story.

One of my mates, had some fake tough guys do this to him, saying they were gonna fuck his family business up.
He arranged to meet him and his boys late at night (midnight)
When my mate was about to go out, his father pulled a baseball bat out from under his bed and was like, here use this.
He went, and they were a no show.

Moral of the story, most people are gutless, they can only say that over the phone.
If your really that scared, then you could alert the police. But if he makes a physical threat against you, don't be scared to punch him in the neck, self defense in your situation is 100% justifiable.

They're most likely bluffing, as the person above me said people usually talk crap over the phone, internet (Explains kids over the internet playing video games) etc. because they can't see you so they try to act tough.

If it happens again I'd definately call the police. Tell your friend to tell her man to calm down as well.

Also don't people in the military get punished more severely if they get into a fight with someone who doesn't have military experience? (As they're trained to fight)

If he is in the military, he is risking his career over something so simple. He is most likely bluffing.

Well, most faggots like this talk shit and don't actually do anything. They normally do it just to look good to their friends. I've never had this happen to me because me and my friends are generally the tough guys but do not involve the cops because it will make it much worse and if he gets a criminal record then it means no military = you get fucked up for real.

OR, maybe you could just tell the dude that you're sorry if you've offended him or anything, that you're not trying to get his girl.

And that you'll just back out with being friends with his girl if it's bothering too much

After all, half the world are hos, right?

I think it depends on whether or not you know who it is. Who knows, it could be a friend just messing with you.

Confront him first. If things do not work out then talk to his girlfriend about it alone. Then you both can confront him at the same time. If things still do not work out, then contact the police.
