Thoughts on obama

Id like to hear what people think then ill comment on it, personally I think he was only elected because he promised "change" and he was a minority

discus.

 

He's a champion to anybody who ever dares to write about him and want it to still be published. He can do anything he wants and probably get away with it. He has been doing anything he wants, and he has been getting away with it.

Plus, he's fucking cool, man. A huge part of his victory and present invulnerability is because he's such a cool fucking cat. Nearly every kid in my high school had an Obama bumper sticker on their car, or that trendy Obama half-smile t-shirt, or some other bullshit "cool" thing with Obama's head on it. One kid wore a McCain-Palin hoodie on the election day, and he was teased so much that by lunch he had taken it off. Also, the town that I live in is primarily conservative... these kids weren't just mimicking their parents. Obama promised better way of life for college kids, so us soon-to-be college kids really fed into his bullshit.

If John McCain/Sarah Palin/John Bohner/etc. sneezed on a child on accident, the media won't be able to trip over themselves fast enough to report that they are a horrible person and they deserve to go to hell. However, I think that nothing will get the media to hate Obama short of him killing his own daughter on national TV. Remember how badly we hated Clinton after Monica Lewinski? I'm sure that Obama could have a gay orgy with his entire male staff on every prime-time TV channel, with his wife frowning the whole time in the corner, and we'd still think he's an upstanding guy.

He did gain popularity and support since he was a minority; more specific "black" (You know its true), various promises of total change and his charisma.

 

I'm not a big fan of Obama but I thought the speech that he gave tonight was very very good and helped set an example of what we should do.

 

My honest thoughts on obama is , If he was white he wouldn't have won , the amount of Africans in the us that would have just voted for him cause he was of the same race. i live in canada and since he was elected The dollar has dropped putting canada above the states more then just once Might as well have kept bush for another term lol.

 

agrred, I really wish the united states still had bush. I myself do not live in the united states, i live in canada. I do own a property in the united states (arizona) and have a duel citizenship so it does affect me to a degree.

OT: i personally love how obamas platform was change. he hasnt really changed anything. his so called health care reform is a joke.

Actually things have changed, they've just changed in a very bad way so I hope Obama doesn't get re-elected.

in my honest opinion he was elected because he is half black, he promised change which i havent seen much of, combat troops out of Iraq/Afghanistan is more realistic than making the economy suddenly good and i still havent seen any change, i would take back my vote if i could.

 

How? You cant just say something then show no proof at all. I personally think he is doing as best as he can..You have to look at the country before he was elected and see what he has to work on.

 

He won because he appealed to the minority and majority of blacks. Go up to a black person and tell them you hate Obama, see what happens. People in this country are to focused on looks and outer appearance, that is why Obama won because for once in history the pesidential race was a popularity contest that all these gang banging teenagers could be a part of. theres more logic behind my post, but im going to bed before i explain it to those of you that don't already see it.

Personally I dont like him. I dont like any liberal politicians, or politicians in general. Obama care is a joke, and hes all for big government. Which just strips our rights away bit by bit. He's failed to do a few things he had seemed to set as a higher priority in his campaign, and hes added a good sum of debt. Im not putting the blame on him entirely, im blaming the whole congress and house + presidital cabinet we have right now. Come on 700b dollars? I wish I could just pull that outta my ass like they did.

 

Just to point out: No one can blame Obama for debt. The US has spent more money then it has taken in from the years of 1929 until now, with the exception of 99 and 98. Too long has the government been corrupted, and now everyone is blaming one person. Especially after Bush, I have no clue how anyone who loved Bush could bash Obama as much as most of them do. Oh wait...they are all closet bigots...

You call that a good thing? Republicans almost blocked The Nuclear Arms Treaty and a bill that would ensure the 9/11 rescuers who had breathing problems and health problems, get some form of health treatment. The Republicans just put blame on the Democrats, but when it comes to doing anything productive, Republicans are against. They only care about the rich people, they have lost their morals and principles. And don't get me started about the dumb Tea Party.

 

I see nothing wrong with the Tea Party, they're just concerned citizens.

 

What scares you about his health care bill? If anything you should be delighted with the changes. It's keeping kids on their parent's plan longer and now insurance agencies can't drop people who they don't want to pay for. It what way does this hurt you. If you are referring to a single payer healthcare system such as Canada's that was never Obama's intention. I doubt you've read any of the bill
