I agree, I didn't know what it was at first. I know it pays the bills but could it be changed?

 

I don't support the removal of anything which funds this site unless the users are willing to compensate.

That's a pretty bold statement. I think you spoke before you had a chance to tell your brain to shut the fuck up. Surely, you can reason with the fact that the success of a website can be largely impacted based on the minimalist approach of their ad sales. Do you frequent any websites with embedded video ads? Oh, they're frowned upon? Ah, right.

I don't think you have the right to speak out about the role this sites users play in funding the site, either, as you don't appear to have donated anything.

try one of them. I never spoke about any users playing a role in funding this site. Clearly those embedded video ads hasn't prevented you or me from visiting this website.

 

I'll ignore the ad hominem portion of your argument, as it is entirely baseless. Let's move on to the middle portion though, which I have bolded for you. I will also enclose your previous post for reference, importance also bolded.

Which brings me to the final part of your argument? I don't believe Sythe.org has ever used video ads, if they did, I would stop frequenting here, as I'm sure many others would. The same stands if the audio ads are not removed. I would simply find a less annoying activity.

No not really, your the first person I've seen complaining, If you don't like it you have multiple choices.

A: Block it by doing 3 or less clicks.
B: Leave the site.
C: PM Sythe regarding it.

Making a thread and getting a bunch of people to post opinions on it makes it worse.

Especially if it's money related OR has to do with the site running.
