TBT's bonds

So I only found out about the bond service the other day and it seemed like a pretty good idea. If you don't know what they are his thread is here:

I was pretty interested in taking out a bond until i realised there would be no real way of people knowing i was a holder. I therefore suggest that we create a rank similar to the donation one that states whether you hold a bond. It's a lot more simple than having to tell every person you speak to what they are and that they can see the proof if they search through the thread.

Plus such a rank would probably attract more people (myself included) to take out a bond and make sythe safer.

This, there is already a mini-rank and you're listed as a bond holder in the donation center. A physical rank is unnecessary and over the top and people would be becoming bond holders left and right just for the rank.

 

Amount is not listed though. Without looking you cannot find how much that person is covered by. That's why I said it should be like donations.

 

You have to be a whole lot more trusted to even be considered for a bond.

Well.. I figured you would have to be, to hold a bond you're holding money for sythe and trusted not to scam the bonds.. Although you give money to Sythe you're still taking money from other people.

 

You don't understand.
TBT holds the cash. A bond holder is the one who pays it to TBT.
In real life a bond holder pays money to a government or company and expects interest payments in return. The holder is NOT the one holding the cash.

 

which then goes back to those people, that's the whole concept, where as donations aren't for paying back scam victims but to keep the site up and running

 

You're all talking about official bonds, OP is talking about TBT's service for USER bonds. Read the thread linked in OP.

 

My bad, in that case I still don't support.

Having an official rank for an unofficial bond service makes even LESS sense.

That'd be the same as me asking for ranks for everyone that is a part of my questing service so that people can easily distinguish them.

 

If this is the case than I am saying it should be made official. His service makes so much sense.
