Tattoo idea?

Well, as some might have seen, I recently put a new picture down in my signature, some might be puzzled as of what it is. The main picture (below) is the album cover to Evil Empire, by Rage Against The Machine (my favorite band of all time). This morning, I opened the picture in photoshop and started messing with it, I came out with this. As you can see, I cleared out the 'Evil Empire' text and put my last name in. Also, I edited the 'e' on the boys chest and put a 'c (for Cody)'. Anyway, my brother got his first tattoo a month ago from the 2nd best shop in Washington, and they did a damn good job on it, and I've seen their work, it's pretty kick ass. So I'm not worried about it coming out looking shitty, but do you think this is a good idea for a tattoo? I have always wanted a tattoo that relates to this band, and I think this is pretty creative, involving my name and stuff. Like I said, this is just something I threw together, so I'd definitely go back and do some major editing. But what do you guys think of it?

Erm... Not so much of a tattoo I don't think. Something tells me it wont turn out as well in ink. Who knows, I may be wrong.

 

I personally wouldn't put a provocative looking prepubescent boy anywhere. Especially considering it will be branded on you forever.

Just my opinion, though. It obviously holds more significance to you than it does to me.

 

Ehhh Cody, If I were you I wouldn't get it. I know you like it, but you should thing of what other people are going to think of it as well. Perhaps look for another one of their album covers that looks a bit nicer for a tattoo and share that with us.

 

If your parents don't like tattoos... Get a tattoo of someone pointing back at you saying... U MAD?

 

Personally, if i saw that on someone i'd think to myself "that guy must be into little boys".

Also, i'm assuming this if your 'favourite band', if they produce a really shit album, you are going to regret it. Since it'll completely deminish your liking for the band.

I can understand getting tattoos of old bands that have already finished and therefore are not going to fuck up their reputation. But Rage Against The Machine are like still playing and stuff aren't they?

 

I don't think Rage is still together. The lead singer went to make some other band. The name escapes me.

It is a cool design.
The only thing is the colouring wont look anywhere near as good.

Rage is a big enough band for it to be recognised and respected.
