Swan/Dave

My name is Dave Vogel. I'm fifteen years of age, and I live in Queensland, Australia just north of Brisbane. I've always lived in Queensland and I find it to be a very nice state, despite the fact that we never get snow.

I've shown a general interest in computers since I was 11 years old, and since then I've been working with them commonly developing software applications for my own personal needs. I program as a hobby, but I consider myself a bit knowledgeable in this field, so if you have any questions about it, you can ask me

I don't play RuneScape, which was originally how I found this forum. I became interested in macroing a couple of years ago, however I've moved on since then and started to work on bigger things which pay cash. Please, don't PM me asking to verify a SCAR script or to MM a trade, as I haven't got a RuneScape account to do such things.

I have a variety of tastes in music. I listen to a lot of Rock and Metal especially, however I'll listen to anything from classical (i.e. Mozart) to Death Metal (Morbid Angel). I really don't like RnB, Hiphop and Rap though, they are the three genres I generally stay away from.

I got my name from a 1976 movie called "The Warriors", where one of the main character's nickname is "Swan". It fits in very well with my last name, as Vogel means "bird" in Dutch/German.

I show a general interest in Asia, especially Japan and China, and am currently learning Japanese, and planning on learning Mandarin Chinese.

I've been at Sythe for about two years now, and I used to lurk under a different alias before then. I feel Sythe.org is a fun place to post at, especially in SFA and Tunes Analysis. I always try to keep the Programming sections clean to the best of my ability, and I'm always happy for newcomers to the programming sections to come and post. I think its excellent that people show interest in software development, and I'm encouraging users to get in to computer development and technology, as its a very beneficial field to be skilled in.
