Studying for Asvab

Well I've decided that I want to join the coast guard and I might consider some other branches, but I wanted to ensure that I could get the best possible score I can on the asvab.Just wanted to know if anyone had taken the test and if they had any tips on studying for it. I don't think I'll have a hard time getting the required minimum score of 45 but I just don't want my score to restrict the jobs I can choose from. Anyways feel free to share your experience with the asvab and the different branches in general.

 

They expect you to get at least 50+ for any job. As for ASVAB, the practice test was suppose to be harder than the real test. Just go to a library and find a book that covers everything that you need to know for the ASVAB test and take practice tests after online. That's what one of my recruiters that came to my school told me when I was going for AF

 

ASVAB is mostly 10th grade level stuff. So this is just an heads up for you if your taking it.

 

well yea I took the practice tests and did quite well just missed alot of the auto related questions and some of the word choice, so I figure with some practice I should be able to score 80+ thats my goal
