I have this strange problem. My computer is connected to the internet through a wire, and I have broadband access. However, sometimes, after I leave my computer idle for 15 minutes, when I try to open Mozilla, it will go to about:blank for about 45 seconds, then finally open up google. Really annoying. Any tips?
I suggest just using a different browser. Or cleaning your computer up a bit, delete cookies, add ons, etc.
Firefox shouldn't go to about:blank on startup if your homepage is google =| . If the page just doesn't load for 45 seconds, maybe it's because you get disconnected after a certain period of inactivity? Stop recommending different browsers, you big noobs
This has nothing to do with Firefox and it takes a true fool to blame it on the browser. It's something to do with your internet although I'm pretty sure you're internet can't go off for being idle. Google Chrome is crap until they actually fix the freezing problem with it and then Firefox will still probably be the leading browser.
What freezing problem? I use it and its great except for Java applets and flash things that are large.. Then it lags, but other than that its fine and great... :/
A lot of users such as myself get constant freezes from using it...unless they passed beta and made a new version?
