Staking

So I've recently returned to the staking scene. The other night I wagered a fairly large stake. During the duel he would switch to a Zamorakian Hasta as I was hitting him, then switch out to his tentacle as he attacked. (I still ended up winning, lol)

Is this common now for staking, or is it just a cheeky exploit? Would be a shame if I'd have to start trading people beforehand to see item slots. (which can still be bypassed by dropping them before trade)

I realize there are other ways of combating this, but not many people would be willing to listen when they could just move on to the next guy.

 

New thing with PID changes implemented to the game. Whenever your opponent has the second hit, they switch to the hasta before you attack because hasta has extra defense bonus compared to whip.. So kinda sucky that people do that honestly.. The only way to avoid it is either have a hasta yourself or just box. Hard to beat people with hasta though.

 

^ What Jp Said , Hasta gives extra def bonus , But I think nowadays its definitely died down people don't do it as much from my experience at least.

 

Afraid they do. Doing smaller stakes people don't worry about it but any stake over 20m, about 80% of the people are doing it now. Saw that all yesterday. So be weary when staking.

 

Wow that's pretty stupid. Hope they fix it soon.

 

They won't fix it, all you can do is trade and instantly duel, then when he shows everything you click on the duel tab.
