Spring Break 2012/Cancun

Ok so this is the deal me and my friend are looking at coming to Cancun next year for a holiday. This is our issue because we also would like to come when spring break is on now I have an idea spring break is March and we should go to Cancun as apparently they have spring break parties here and it will be legal for us to drink in Mexico as we will both be only 20 next year.

So in summary can someone tell me what it is like in Cancun and what date spring break is next year and is there many English people there since me and my friend are English ha!. Thanks Alex.

 

Cancun is a great place to have spring break at. Myrtle Beach is another great place.

Bring flipflops, money, a frisbee, and shorts, (and make sure to work on your beach body and tan before you head out), and you'll be getting drunk AND laid almost every night.

 

You don't need a tan and a nice body to get laid. I'm not so sure why people are obessive with their skin tone.
This is not a good attitude to take...

I've been to Cancun twice, and can say it's a lovely place to spend in the spring, I went there Easter of last year. It's pretty warm too, so make sure you pack like its the summertime in England.

I loved Cancun when I went there in the summer of 2007. The beaches there are amazing, the sand was so clean and white. There's a lot of tourism, so you don't have to worry about a language barrier. Most of the food there was excellent as well; probably one of the best trips of my life. Have fun!

 

Cancun is overrated, but its basically just another city for America. Bunch of white people drinking lots of alcohol lol.

 

Have you ever been there? There's much more to do than just drink, lol.

 

Personally, I've been to Cancun and few times, and thought it was decent, but my family and I went to Playa Del Carmen which is about an hour from the Cancun Airport and it's much much nicer. The resorts are beautiful, and not nearly as crowded, and the activities are the same.

You can do everything in both places, snorkeling, shopping, swimming, and most importantly drinking. I would highly recommend Playa Del Carmen to anyone who is open to the idea. As it id further South, and most of the hard crime in in the North near the border, that's another reason to recommend it. On the resorts, all the water is potable, except on the beach, obviously, in Cancun, it can be really hit and miss outside your hotel.

It was a long time ago when I was in Cancun, but when I was there we ran into little to no problems as far as language barrier goes.

There are lots of things to see, parties to go to (nice beach parties too!), and lots of touristy souveniers to buy (if you are into that kind of stuff, look around because some places rip you off and some have the same exact stuff for dirt cheap).

Make sure you get in at least some site seeing during the day time, the Mayan temples are pretty cool as well as the snorkeling you can do in the ocean (crystal clear warm water ftw?)

Most college age students go there to party and drink since they're usually not 21 and it's 18 in Mexico.

If you're not into partying, then there's surfing, swimming, hiking, biking, atvs/dune buggies and a bunch of tourist stuff to do.

 

I went to cancun for spring break this year, make sure you book with student city, I stayed at the Krystal hotel which is right near all the clubs. It was pimp.

I got there on march 12th, and till the 20th it was all Americans and Canadians, after that all the brazillians.

Heaps of chicks, beachs, alcohol .. And when you get bored of that hit
Scuba diving up it's pimp.

 

I need another vacation, lol.

 

I've been to Cancun a few times and it is a very tourist friendly area so in regards to that, you should be fine. Not sure on the dates though and don't really want to check. Anyways, Cancun is great and have a nice time.

 

A lot of people say not to drink the water in Mexico, but I'm not positive on the validity of that statement..

 

ive been to mexico 3 times; once to cancun on a cruse, once to the riviera maya for a week, and once to cancun for a week. this is what ive gathered from it...
the place where i was staying had SO MANY GERMAN PEOPLE. i dont have any idea why, but they were everywhere, and about half of them were naked on the beach. not bad for the girls, but the fat old guys scared my mind haha. its incredivly easy to get drinks(and any other mind altering substance) and thier will most likely be babes everywhere. its pretty much a huge party in all of the resorts, and i highly recomend going to a resteraunt called 'senior frogs'. so many hot milfs...so many haha. its gonna be really fucking awesome. i liked the virgin islands a little more cause we stayed at my grandparents house there, and it was more relaxing than, like, partying haha. but its gonna be fucking awesome

 

I'm Aussie and it was insane, I met heaps of americans and canadians - Bulk week bulk piss and bulk cocaine, all soo cheap! haha
