    speaker problem

ok i jus got a brand new dell inspiron 530 about a month ago

so 1 random night i came in and the sound wasnt working and for some reason i thought it would help if i unplugged the speakers and plugged back in. Well after i did that in bottom right hand corner i clik volume icon and it says there is no audio ouput device plugged in when i alrdy plugged the coord back in.

and every time a sound should play( for example recieveing a instant message on msn or aim) it gives a weird beep( not sure if the beep is coming from the speakers)

so yea...how should i go about installing the audio output device.

your speaker drivers are somehow uninstalled/deactivated or your sound card is fried, and that weird beap is coming from your built-in pc speaker, not your speakers.

Well, I'm not 100% sure if this works on any card, but you could try the Realtek. @ http://www.realtek.com.tw , then go to downloads, Computer Peripheral ICs > PC Audio Codecs > AC'97 Codecs > Software , but again, I'm not sure if this works on any sound card

Dell PCs come with all the disks/drivers you need. Just reinstall the speakers. Your soundcard is not fried, just put the disk for your speaker drivers in and reinstall.

Dells always pop up with little issues, no worries.

Dell is always good at drivers. If you have the CDs that came with the computer use those. If not go to http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx and you should be able to get the drivers easily.

If its a hardware issue I'm sure Dell will replace it.
