Sotw?

What the hell happened to it? Bring it back!
It will surely make the GFX section much better.
I'm sure a lot of people want it back, SOTW is a really nice thing to have on a forum.
It brings back people week after week to the GFX section.

It will also help encourage people to hone their GFX skills.
I do realize that sigs are not what GFX is all about but it's a start!
You start doing sigs, then banners then you finally go on to web design.
I know its easier said than done, and TDD is the only GFX mod left
(although im sure Vision would like to help) but it will really brighten up the GFX section.

 

I had the same argument a while back, but as TDD said the graphics forum is dead, however at the same time, he said we could start an unofficial competition.

 

well, the users here range from alot of beginners to a few experienced ones, so the competition won't be fair.

 

NSOTW would work wonders

 

We should make an unofficial one. NSOTW is a good idea. I cant believe TDD gave up on the forum D: I don't care if I make an idiot out of myself Im gonna try and get some people to help me host the unofficial sotw!

There is a easy way you can help, just find some people that are interested in GFX. Even they're not that talented they can still enter NSOTW and anyway its not really about winning. Its about improving and not giving up. So if you could find some people it would help greatly.

 

Don't worry guys. I've got a movement coming that should bring back the SOTW with most of it's former glory. It might not be amazing to begin with, but it should be a good, long competition in the near future.

 

Me and bizcuits were thinking of posting the first unofficial one today. Do you think we should?

Yeah, kind of. My idea is a current discussion in the staff lounge, so I cannot tell the details until it unravels itself.

Mid-term. There is no long term. I expect it should be about 3-6 months of revival.

 

So its just a matter of persuading admins at the moment.
