    Some Computer Problems.

First off it's Konvict111 (Eric)... I'm aware this isn't the right place to be posting this, but my Sythe password is saved on my computer which currently has some problems and so this is the only section I could post in. Could a mod/admin please move this to the Tech Support forum.

I'll make a list of the problems I have..

    1) When I first starting experiencing these problems, any programs that would normally start on login gave popups all with messages similar to "failed to initialize" Even my anti virus software experienced these problems.

    2) I was unable to connect to the internet. I would go to network connections, and my connection would be stuck at acquiring ip address, and when I went to view networks, it didn't even appear!

    3) NOW, when I try to start up my computer, it loads fine, until I get to the windows login screen. It used to be the regular xp login where you select an account, type pass, etc. Now, it goes to what appears to be an older login style where you must type in your username and password. When I login, NOTHING loads. Even explorer.exe fails. All that appears is my previous background.

I've tried system restore, and EVERY time, when it restarts, and message says something like "system restore could not change setting. Your system has not been changed."

    /me needs help. PWEEAZE halp!

Again sorry for posting in this section, and any help is greatly appreciated.

    Eric

Try booting it in safe mode.
