Everyone knows there ownage but what do you guys think of there new album All Hope Is Gone?

I mean it sounds different then the past thing's they've sung as in now the yells are deeper instead of louder.

 

I'm not a huge fan of SlipKnot tbh, but I recommend you read some of the stuff on this thread: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=489089 as it's got a lot of stuff about them and opinions and stuff. Maybe ask there? Not to backdoor-mod, but why have two topics on a very similar subject in this section?

You've only hear more of the mainstream i guess. Listen to songs like Vermillion, Me inside, Opium Of the People. Eyeless.

 

I have heard nearly all there songs and known about them before you I'm sure, they are all pathetic and lacking musical talent. as I have said before the only reason in the music world there even remotely famous is because of there drummer.

Slipknot are shit ass posers in my opinion. All your mainstream kids will be like "wow slipknot, so hardcore man". Whereas anyone who listens to REAL heavy music, will look at Slipknot, laugh, and be like "lol who the fuck are these retards with masks?".

They aren't cool, they aren't hardcore. They are just wannabe's that losers think are the most hardcore band in the world.

 

Agreed, Deadzone. SlipKnot is in terrible taste, and their riffs aren't even very original. If you listen to any variety of bands you can tell where Slipknot has copied from.

 

Yh joey jordison was on MurderDolls but Slipknot got it and now he is the best drummer in the world i think.

 

First of all, i'm a huge fan.
Second, after buying the new album I was a bit disapointed because the first songs weren't that heavy and such but now i like it more then the previous albums because I identify myself with their lyrics! Everytime I listen to Snuff, I feel sad because I'm in the same situation.. Well, basicly what I mean is that you shouldn't flame a band just because you don't like it. I don't like Madonna or any other bands unless they're death metal but I don't say bad stuff about her because I think that she is a good person and a great inpiration to lots and lots of people, wich is the same with Slipknot..

 

slipknot isn't death metal there garbage, secondly I have good reason to not like them they are a horrid band, madonna at least had some talent, where is slipknots?

Haha, agreed. I can name 10 drummers off the top of my head that are better than this clown. I'll name two for starters that could play with one hand better than this clown: Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy.

Slipknots definitely not pownage. I have said it before slipknot is for you fucking rich kids that wanna be hardcore. FUCK YOU you make it harder for people that actually have problems.

 

I like slipknot mainly because of the harder side that leads into a stone sour like singing part in most of the songs.

deadzone are you sure you've heard all of there songs? whats wrong with the song Eyeore then?

I don't really care for the drummer i find him pretty weird after seeing a no mask interview lol

Dude you like Slipknot so clearly you know little about music.

I see people all the time who think they are like hardcore when they quote "i push my fingers into my eyes, its the only thing that slowly stops the ache but its made of all the things i have to take". All i can say about that is "cool, you can rhyme ache with take". All you slipknot fans seem to think thats really meaningful, all i see is a half assed band trying to act hardcore.

Also i've noticed lots of wimps seem to listen to slipknot since they think listening to a band with some "scary masks" makes them look brave and tough.

 

I don't even like that song Because I like the band slipknot I know nothing about music. LOL nice stereotype I don't think I'm hardcore or anything I know slipknot isn't hard at all there sorta nu-metal and a lot softer compared to real death metal bands.

But I happen to like the way the singer makes it sound maybe not so much the instruments I like the singer.
