Slaying with void

So when training slayer is it best to have a range gear of blackdhide etc. + the slayer helm

or

void with slayer helm?

Apparently my friend thinks it's void with slayer helm because someone with a bunch of slayer xp said full void with slayer helm is better.

 

how would that work exactly? its pointless using void if your not going to use 'full void' because you wont get the full effect with a missing piece of void.On some certain task it is better to use full void then slayer helm and dhide for the accuracy

 

The damage/accuracy bonus with void armor doesn't stack with a slayer helmet. Using a slayer helmet with normal gear is far better.
