Why should members be the only ones that are able to use skill capes? Achieving 99's in f2p is just as hard, if not SIGNIFICANTLY harder... I think Jagex should change this

because everybody wants to wear those rare capes, so they'll pay money. Jagex makes more money this way.

Jagex are money-hungry whores. There is no reason why F2P players shouldn't get skillcapes. I agree with you. It IS harder for them.

But alas, that is the way Jagex does it. >_<

I think it should be f2p as well. I have a f2p 40-99-1 pure and would love to rock a strength cape.

It only costs $3-4 for you to get membership and the cape. And this has been suggested many times. But it will never come true.

It's not about the money. It's about what is fair.

Guess what... The REAL WORLD isn't fair. If skill capes were both free/members, they could lose some profit. The purpose of companies is not to make things fair, but make cash.

Yeah, pretty much. I actually know a few people who got membership just for a skill cape, then let it expire because they didn't actually want to play as a member.

I know that. But F2P players should be able to get the cape at least. It's a lot harder for them to get 99 in something than a member. I don't know.

It's not about money - it's about the reasoning behind it.

By allowing F2P users to wear skill capes, it MAY reduce memberships, however it will also increase them, therefore I consider it as more of a win, rather than a lose.

Scenario. (This is assuming skill capes were introduced for F2Players)

You're F2P, you've never been p2p before. After months of hard, long training, you've finally achieved 99 mining. You get the cape, and wear. Oh sh*t, my outfit looks horrid. I think it's about time I upgraded to P2P to get myself a better outfit.

i think if they were to make skill capes f2p then membership subscriptions will decrease
