I wanted to get some quest services done on my account, but I have heard some rumors about workers being able to hack your account after granting them access (even if u grant access once). I have heard that they are able to do this in many ways, such as linking your account to Steam, Facebook, or even doing a single payment on the account. Is anyone able to confirm that these rumors are true and that there is basically no foul-proof way of getting recovered by someone later on after granting them access a couple of times to your account.

I hate doing quests and don't mind paying for them, but the last thing I want is getting hacked 2 years later and losing my bank. In that case I rather do the quests myself..

 

You have to put a friend authenticator, and at the time of terminating the service, check the bindings and change the password of your acc

 

This will avoid everything, and you only leave what is necessary in your bank to perform the missions.

 

So you mean the QR code when registering my authenticator, I would take a screenshot and send it to the serviceguy and generate a new one after the service? What is the danger of disabling it temporarily and doing it that way? What are all posibile 'bindings', is checking the OSRS website the best way to check if it's linked, and does it matter if they linked it once to for example Steam and then unlinked it shortly after?
