Self Hosted Contests??

Question is, are we aloud?

I was thinking about hosting an RSGP giveaway here at Sythe, not sure for what just yet. But I wanted to make sure it wasn't against the rules first?

I know some Forums require you to talk the contest rules over with a mod first to make sure it's ok that you run the contest.

Sorry to reply to this thread 4 days after it was made but being as nobody answered you I thought I'd give it a shot!

You should try and PM a Moderator about this seeing as you didn't get a reply here... Perhaps explain your idea a little bit more to them. It sounds like a fantastic idea if you want my opinion, if you ever need help with it or anything just send me a PM =)

As the others have stated it is allowed, however, if you want it to be called an "Official" tournament you're going to have to ask for an administrators permission. Otherwise there are no requirements or anything to worry about.

 

Just make sure it doesn't infringe on any rules, and you can post it in the "Community General" section, good luck.
