I slacked. I understand. You can throw lectures on me about the seriousness of High School and what not but bear with me here..

    AP World History
    First quarter - D
    Second quarter -C
    Third quarter- F

How did I get a F? I should have gotten a D. The coursework was harder so I failed to maintain a C. However, I ended with a 57.6 . An extra credit assignment would have given me my D, however it was due last Friday. Why didn't I turn it in? All it was was a pamphlet or some sort of proof that you attended a museum. She told us the due date one time. If you're familiar with Edline and it's Calendar that helps students track assignments, the due date was not on there. My teacher never once mentioned it in class. At my school, AP classes don't take finals. Therefore even if I get a A fourth quarter I'm still going to get a D in the class. WHAT THE FUCK!? I'm so mad. I don't really know who else to talk to. Fml..

It's hard to give advice for this other than saying put more effort in your work, take initiative and find out due dates instead of waiting until it's too late. Youre in high school now and with that comes a greater responsibility.

This is more of a rant than a request for help. You obviously know you screwed it up. You just need to force yourself to do the work, no matter how insignificant it feels at the time. Sit yourself down, and don't allow yourself to do anything until you've finished whatever assignment you need to have done. Simple as that.

As the others have already said just apply yourself.

If you have a hard time keeping track of things, invest in a planner of your own and force yourself to write in it so you remember when you have homework so you can do it, there's still time to get your grade up even if it will end up as a D its better than an F.

And if you're taking the AP test you could do well on that as well which would really help on any college application.

What's done is done. Stop looking back at it and feeling troubled, as it's not going to change anything. Look towards the future, something you have the power to change. Give it your all in the 4th quarter. Work day and night if you have to, and simply develop the mindset that you have to work hard. Also, show your teacher you're interested and she might even offer you other extra credit opportunities. Best of luck.

It's exceptionally hard to help someone who strives for a D.

Strive for a C atleast, better still an A or B.
The teacher is merely a mentor for you, yes they teach you what they're required to teach you but they also mentor students individually to an extent.

What do you want to be when your older?
The sad thing for you is you can't be anything you want in university with grades like that.

Staying after school for extra help is always a plus, I'm not quite sure on your skills in school but I know you're a smart guy. You just don't put your efforts into your work, therefore you need to strive for better goals to succeed. I'll hit you up if you wanna talk about this.
