Well, at my school teachers are good but they dont give a damn, u can go to shop between classes, no rules about dressing (i thought thats only on some very strict schools) i can use my phone anywhere (not on tests tho) and nothing severe.. only drinking is probably not allowed, teachers do mind if people are fighting but they see if its a like a little prank or something. Yeah and u cant smoke (Many many people do it, just run to the woods that are 10 meters away because theres usually 1 teacher outside watching us lol)

Well, I smoke cigarettes, I don't care what you think I'm just saying, and I usually go out in between classes out in the road and smoke one and come in before the bell rings and the teachers don't care.

We have a point system at out school, and you get 10 points for possession of tobacco... Why is this a rule when I can go smoke in between classes. I got 10 points already from having cigarettes in my pocket.

60 points at are school is a 10 day expulsion and they debate whether you should be expelled or not.

Jewish private high school in New York.

-no long hair ( before it even reaches your shoulders.
-wearing a kippah/yarmulke at all times
-not exactly uniforms, but:
-girls no pants etc.
-only polos and long button down shirts, and no jeans.
-no phones in class
-learning a fukken bilingual curricum. ( we have a bunch of classes in hebrew)


At least we can go to the KOSHER (fuuu-) restaurants near the school.

my school is the same way except for the lunch and skipping policys,class cuts are enforced and punsihed a little too much in our school and for lunnch seniors are allowed to leave or we have an outside area were allowed to eat at

They need to wake up and give highschool a chance for less strict rules. They wonder why people drop out.

 

I hated the no piercings rule out my school.

And i hated the 'no phones allowed AT ALL' rule as well as the 'no ipods allowed AT ALL' rule.

I think they should be allowed to be used during lunch breaks. It doesn't affect anyone then.

The only thing I can really complain about my school is that they have an automated phone system that calls home whenever a class is missed, so skipping without permission is impossible unless a teacher accidentally marks you present. iPods are allowed in the halls, but generally aren't in class, but that depends on your teacher. Its a school rule not to have them in class, but some teachers allow it during work. Cell phones aren't allowed to be used on school property unless its an emergency, but that doesn't really bother me because I don't use mine much anyway. We have a designated smoking section outside of the school, even though I don't smoke, alot of my friends do, so it keeps them happy.

 

I usually hated the rules which resulted in me getting a better education.
In hindsight, I'm glad they were there.

Hair must be short at all times, No phones, school uniform.

If we don't have a hat on while outside we get a friday detention, which involves spending your friday afternoon picking up rubbish.

Absolutely no mobile phones are allowed, if they're even seen they're taken and a parent has to come and get it.

We have to get a really friendly teacher to let us listen to an mp3, and it has to be in a "free class"(happens when the teacher for the class isn't present, and a sub lets us do whatever).

My senior year they started a "no hat rule". I don't wear hats often, it's just pretty lame that they would have to take it to that level. Most of us were 18 years old anyway? Idk, some thing I just don't understand.
