School Disciplinary Systems

Ok so i want to see your views on this.

To punish "severe offences" at school often an off ground suspension is given. now to a regular trouble child it is just like a day off. i only realised this when i saw that my girlfriends down syndrome sister was actually HATING being suspended. Because honestly how many of you deem it a punishment.

Personally i believe all schools should setup a program for trouble children running over a week or something rather than suspension that keeps the kid in a stricter/harsher surroundings they will no longer WANT to get in trouble.

 

Me and my friend both got suspended from school in the last week and to make up for time we have to go in the summer holidays to make up for lost time. Thats what should happen in all schools!

The only people that suspension actually punishes in my school is the people that actually care about their grades. Our school doesn't allow work to be made up, and thus suspended students receive "zeros" on all their assignments while they are gone. I'm pretty sure its like this everywhere but I haven't been everywhere now have I? I think that Saturday school is a much worse punishment for people who don't care much about their grades than suspension. Saturday school was HELL when I got it. I would rather take a week in In School Suspension before I went to Saturday school again.

 

i never got a Saturday school but when i had in school suspension it was hell! you'r locked in a room and have nothing to do but school work boring!! But yea i agree you should give out Saturday school for people who don't care about there grades! that way it basically ruins there whole weekend and they don't just get out of school for a week or so.

 

That's not 1/5 as bad as marching band.

 

This generation of schools are to harsh, i mean, the punishments are ok, but like, at my school, we have to read 34 books over the summer and write reports on every one. im like, FUCK NO! im havin my dad switch my school cuz thats just to fuckin crazy. they think we are retarted and we cant read, not to mention they wana be an A school, when they are a D school for DEE DEE DEE!

 

I think that is harsh. My school doesnt have you really do anything over the summer. But there pushinments arent that harsh either. But its not always good to have a laid back school

 

I don't think that in school suspension is a big punishment at my school because all you do is just sit there and be quiet which is almost just like regular class because the teachers send you the work that they are doing and everything at my school. I think that when you get in trouble you should have to go to school on the weekend or if its near the end of the school year during summer.

I have the zero's system too (receiving a zero for every assignment/test during suspension) and I think it works very well. If you were suspended for 10 days, that would fuck your semester grade in the ass.

Not in my school. My school only suspends when we get into fights or vandalize the school. Oh, and yeah, Saturday school sucks.

 

my friend got expelled for pulling a knife on his friend as a joke,i think that was a little harsh seeing as it was a joke, i think only a week suspension for possesion of a weapon would have been better. a week suspension is plenty i say.

some punk at school got susppended intentionly because school was getting boring
when he screamed "yes!" the principial said that he will also have to come in every saturday for the rest of the year (9 week left of school) he said it was living hell because they put the meanest teachers in the meanest moods there, and it was nonstop no credit homework, witch he knew nothing about the subjects so he had to finish it at home or else they would add a day to the days he has in school. i loved watching his despair the jerk deserved it.
btw what he did to get that was he threw a bottle at a car out of the bus and it a guy i the head... AND THEN he mooned the bus driver...oh and flicked im off. it was funny to watch especaily when he ame running down the street from his dad =D (he told him what he did and his punishment) he scared that kid to death i thouht he was gonna kill im
the guy that got hit ven file a lawsuit, and won, witch mad his dad scare me to death froma block away (police were involved)
