Is there anything I can do? The kid sent me an "e-check" via PayPal, and it said it would take 3-5 days to process. I come back to check on my account, and it says all of the money has been returned. Anyone know how I can do anything?
E-checks are very risky, never complete your trade until the payment has cleared. What kind of trade was it?
You can't recover at all. Always have the buyer send from his paypal balance and not directly from his bank. What did you sell to him?
Not at all. You can try talking to paypal customer service but I don't think anything else can happen.
Ok well that's bullshit. View this. I literally would beat the fucking shit out of that nerd in real life, I don't think I'm kidding.
If you are really serious about it, report it to paypal as an investigation and the police and your bank or credit card company and etc.
police? Nono, They would ask the item he SOLD Btw, dude iv been scammed $3,000 USD with paypal at the beginning of the year (February i think). Thinking about it really pisses me off, but we cant do anything about it. I lost soo much with paypal. My suggestion, is use moneybookers for big transactions.
here.. if you're verified and an old custoemr. then paypal will giev you the money . if not , then he probally cancelled the e - check .
Try talking to Blizzard about it. Somebody in my Dad's guild got hacked badly and he managed to get his account back. Just say you were phished. Then they can even ban that little dicks WoW Authorization code If they do that with WoW.. They also have a database. Do it quickly. Call Blizzard or use their website. As for paypal there's nothing you can do here. Also, don't start selling big on sythe, I made the same mistake. So many jerks try and scam you and rip you off when you're a leecher
Exactly. Also, if you start selling big, then use a trusted mm such as me or an omm . They will give you your account back most likely due to i.p checks etc.
I would never sell anything on paypal unless it is to someone EXTREMELY trusted. I've only been scammed once for 50 bucks and that was enough to make me never wanna use it again.
First all stupid that you haven't yet contacted blizzard. Even if he has all the information their databases have IP, checks etc Anyway you got screwed via PayPal I can assure you will never see that $550 again. E-check is the easiest way to scam, for instance my Pay Pal is linked to a Bank account which can't go overdrawn and I have a mere £200 or so pounds inside this account. So I could send a E-check of £550 or whatever and come a few days it will fail to clear, and the trade it dead-out.
Well. Do something with his MSN, Details through PayPal. If you ring blizz etc and nothing, hack his comp. There are people who will do for a small fee (I KNOW IT ISN'T RIGHT TO DO, BUT HE DID SCAM)
