RuneScape Lag.

Ok I start up RuneScape Today.

And I started getting huge lag.

Like Frame Skipping.

Stuff like that etc.

And I'm not running anything in High CPU usage.

I have My Instant Messanger and Winamp running.

That's all.

And I wen't on Man it was lagging everything was skipping and lagging really bad.

Ok this is what I did.

I reinstalled Java.

I did Virus Scan.

I ran Spybot Search and Destroy.

And I restarted My Computer.

I cleared out My useless junk with Window's Clean Up and CCleaner.

I cleared out the RuneScape folder.

Still huge Lag.

Can anyone help Me out?

Restart your computer.
Try your home world.
If using Firefox press Control + J, check if anything is downloading.
They worked for me before I got my mac.

 

Hate it or hate it, lag is always around, and you don't have you sweat it. I get it all the time because I have wireless that is always being used at the same time by my rents. What kind of internet do you have? Usually I just repair my connection, and it stops for awhile. It might be something Jagex is running like an event or something that is lagging a lot of worlds. It's just a windows client for rs, that helps me with lag.

 

Maybe you could try a world that is related to your country, or it could just be a problem with the Jagex servers. Earlier today i was lagging real bad but it's alright now.

 

Try a world in your country.

Failing that, make sure your browser is the only other thing accessing the net, and double check that you have no virii/spyware.

Check that your internet connection is OK and that other web pages load up fine.

If you use XP check that you have installed SP2.

 

I installed SP2.

I tryed My Home World (I don't have one but I picked Canada).

Nothing's Downloading.

And I have EliteSwitch.

Also I have DSL Connection.

My Connection is running 2.97 Megabit's Per Second and 362.35 Kilobyte's Per Second.

Still lagging like shit. =(

 

I lag in 1900+ ppl, especially at BH with all those spamming noobs. I'd say press CTRL+ALT+DEL, check what's running, and close unnecessary programs using your memory.

 

I did that nothing big less than 10 CPU Usage.

EliteSwitch is like 88 - 90+ CPU usage.

I have 1.8GHZ 607 Ram and no Video Card.

 

How much bandwidth does Firefox/IE use up when RS is running? I usually restart it if it passes 200,000 kb...

 

I'm not really talking about the Connection.

I'm talking about like when I turn the Camera it's laggy as shit.

So yeah.

 

if its lagging the camera its there server or you have a new internet connection hooked up.

 

No it's the same Internet Connection I had in 3 Year's.

And now RS is laggy as shit.
