Runescape Hacking

WOW- After all these years of struggling to hack Runescape, A guy who just started hacking Runescape did it!!

 

Come on, between decrypting the packets and posting a vid of something there is a huge gap, i would have been more interested in seeing (instead of that vid) a packet decrypted, or at least .. hrm that exemple well written (yes with the nops )

Doubted ? this ain't beliefs, these are facts, nothing in what he wrote makes sense, a bunch of technical "scary" words but no facts.

Again, what is the point of this thread, i'm still puzzled.

I would have to agree with Larry. Whats to say that this guy is really who he says he is. He could just be a person who was browseing some random forums saw the name of someone who was knowledgeable and tried to pose as him. No proff whatsoever has been posted. He should show this hack to someone reliable in the community or post some reasonable proof.

 

Hacked regularly my ass. Do not try to make yourself something you aren't bud. I for one know you will NEVER hack Runescape. From what I see this thread was made simply to get attention by saying the glitches you found and exploiting them as hacks.

 

For one I beilive he did do it, he kinda has proof that doesn't want to show.. (Don't ask.)

And he's an amazing hacker and doesn't care about your opinion, but I respect your opinion anyways.

I don't quite see the evidence that you're controlling anything on the servers.

It would be good to show the point where your hp is drained below zero yet instead of falling to the ground you survive (your vid could be made with a client side hack) - and you didn't interact with players on other floors in the video, just displayed them and their mouse-over information (can be done with a client-side hack). There was no mage spells being cast from other floors, the only interaction was attacking the guy with the flag, and it looked a lot like both of you were on the same floor, the ground floor, running through castle doors then across the bridge.

- Question, if you fool the server to think you are on all floors simultaneously that means players on every floor can attack you, right?

Some things are unhackable. Hacking a government website and things of this nature aren't that rare but only happen when there's a flaw to be exploited and on systems that aren't properly tested. There are many unpenetrable systems around, especially in the military etc. Jagex aren't as naive to hacking as Gunz.

I'm not saying it can't be done - it would be cool if you can cheat death and attack (without being attacked by) people on other floors, but if so, why have you made a vid that doesn't show that? - this is what I don't understand.
All I really saw was you were having a hard time getting out the waiting room lol. I don't think there's many potential exploits in RuneScape but if you are going to try and find some, bear in mind they can be easily fixed once Jagex hear about it, good luck.

Client modification isn't useless. You can learn alot about how the runescape engine works.

 

This is done simply by injecting a few libraries into the system. thats all very simple and to all of you who think this isnt hacking, it is a form of hacking but not very useful.

Well, I have a question. Didn't Jagex change the way the server works so that packets, when edited and sent back, will be refused and only remain clientside if it does not match the server variables? [For example changing 1 gold piece to 10 gold pieces would only be client side] You are using much more complex examples, but it seems your "hack" is somewhat similar to autorune, which would not work because of the system change.

 

this looks fake, im no expert but if you look closely in the begining of the video, there is a Attack Large Door option hmmmmmm

Correct, Autorune didn't work because of the 'system change', but that's because autorune was set up to work with the way the packets worked back then, this is now.
