RuneScape = DEAD??

Is coming back to runescape even worth it anymore?
I mean i went to w65 and there were nearly anyone there, sorta depressing.

 

I quit, its not even fun anymore. Not worth it imo

 

It is having a dip atm. Will come back in under 6 minths.

 

Been doing that for a long time now.

 

Pretty much is, I wouldn't play again till it gets a LOT more active.

 

The 70k+ players online would beg to differ

 

70k players isn't representative of the actual player base. Around half of that is just people who log on temporarily. Now if you took just the players in members world that would more accurately represent.

 

What???????? If you said this prior to bot nuke it would make sense half the time. Logging in tempororily? Runescape numbers fluctuate between 30k-75k depending on time and day of the week.

Not everyone plays daily and regularly. This doesn't mean RS is dead or does it mean the number of players online are not representative of teh ACTUAL player base. That number should be and will be well over 75k

 

Just play for fun and to play with friends, that's what keeps me enjoying the game.

In my opinion, the game will never die. So if you want to play, its worth it.

 

I tried to make mage noobs (level 9 ftw) and go pk with some buddies from my dorm. We literally found 1 person our level in the top 3 worlds we went to. It was pretty depressing...

If you've gotten yourself free from the RS addiction, I'd say keep it that way.

I still enjoy it, and a lot of my friends still enjoy it... but I don't speak for the entire player-base. Depends what you do, I play for fun, I talk to people, and in my opinion, it's been more fun than ever, no bots taking my frosts, and more real people to talk to. Just because it seems like Jagex is making large changes, doesn't mean that they are desperately trying to keep the game alive.
Btw, im one of the "addicted nerds".

Bots were never considered "real people."

 

I like it better like this without the bots and shit economy, tyvm.

 

They were still counted as "Players Online".

The huge slump up decreasing numbers is from the lack of botters now.
