RuneScape 2 Sections.

I'm not going to give a big introduction, I'm just going to get right to my point; The RuneScape Section's are being taken over with spam, idioticy, and more spam.

I spend a good amount of my time in the RS2 Sections, and I've been noticing a lot of thing's over the past week's.

People always reply to thread's that have already been replied too. I can open 100 threads right now, and see atleast 20 replies, all consisting of the same information. I mean for shit's sake, read the damn thread before you post!

As you can see, all the answers consist of the same information, and no useful new information was added.

How we can fix this problem; Enforce a 2 point infraction rule. User's should read the damn thread before posting, and if they don't have anything to add on, NOT post at all! It's a simple thing to follow really, not that damn hard.

Ratings. User's are always replying to threads just stating; " '9/10' '1/10 d3f no0b' '1000000/10 man u gots nice bank!!' " Honestly, what's the point? This Problem was happening in the GFX Section about last year A LOT and with the enforcement of TDD, look what's happened; No more pointless ratings! People should give CnC (Constructive Criticism) on people's account's, not just say '0/10 phail u g0t d3f u nub' Users mainly reply to; a) Get their postcount up, or b) to get their name 'out there'.



^ User's should post information on why he should get a firecape, not because it look's "hot", or how 99 hunter is going to help him, why it's a big goal, what else he can do to help him, not just "WOW NICE GL MATE"

What I suggest to do to improve: Inforce another 2 point infraction rule, just like the GFX forums. You shouldn't be allowed to post "lol nice 9/10", and if you do so, you earn 2 Point Infraction.

Honestly, the suggestions I posted aren't really that hard to follow. They're simple, and not complicated at all. It's common sense for a user not to post if they do not have anothing to contribute to the question/point of the thread.
Users should understand they can do more useful thing's with their posts, other than spamming. If all the 'ratings' on the guide's were replaced with CnC, i'm sure we would be having MANY MANY more useful guides, as people learn from your feedback.

I'm agreeing on this. I'm sick of kids replying to my fucking thread saying the SAME things OVER AND OVER. It's just flat out annoying. My merchanting guide in which I posted I gave credit to zybez.com at the TOP and BOTTOM yet the kids say "you ripped the guide.". What the fuck? Can you not read?
Anyone who lacks common intelligence should be punished by infractions, if you continue to post something thats been posted plenty of times it SHOULD be giving a warning or a punishment. I'm sick of this shit, it doesn't make just Runescape section look like a bunch of idiots but most of sythe is consumed it kids who do this.

 

Sorry to say but the majority of the Market and RS2 users are retarded.

 

I honestly do agree. It's a sad, but true fact. However, I feel that with a little inforcement, (or a lot) we can improve the section, and make it better.

 

Well duh, half the kids on here are about the age of nine.
Especially the Runescape sections, they're filled with kids who just try to get post count up because they want that level 25 account to share so they can be "trusted"

 

The only time where repeating the same post would be acceptable is when someone is asking for a poll

I somewhat agree with this; it would be wise for them to post WHY they chose that option in the poll.

I informed Cover this morning, he said to just report the posts.

But I mean, holy shit, there are way too many posts to report.

And with some enforcement, all of that can change.

 

I'm agreeing, ban them all. Or at-least give the somewhat intelligent kids a fraction.

If anyone deserves it, you need Runescape Moderator. That's just my opinion, you are very intelligent and have a great part in the Runescape forums.
